Chicka Chicka Boom Boom
This is a great book for reinforcing
number recognition!
A classic used in many early childhood
settings.
Chicka Chicka Toilet Paper Tube Craft!
Cover a toilet tube with brown
construction paper. Provide children with green cocoanut tree
leaves to cut out or precut them from the leaf
pattern for younger children. The leaves have a slit in them
that allows them to slide on the tube and keeps them standing up nice.
Have a supply of round colorful cocoanut shapes with letters programmed
on them for the children to glue on. Have the children identify
the letters as they choose them or glue them on.
Chicka Chicka Alphabet Tree
Make your own Chicka Chicka Boom Boom
Tree for the children to use on their own to retell the story and
explore the letters more. I found this tree at a paper warehouse
store. And the plastic alphabet at a dollar store. I taped
the tree to a cookie sheet, but a magnetic dry erase board would work
too, and the children could practice writing their letters also.
Make a life size tree for your room!
