~Visit local banks and ask if you can display children's art work.
Be sure to hang it under a banner with your daycare name and number on
it!

~Visit local Doctors and Dentists offices and donate children's books,
stick a label sticker inside with "Donated by: " & your
daycare name and number.

~Visit local realtors offices and give them your brochures and business
cards. They love to distribute this to new clients.

~Give out business cards to your current parents to refer you to others.
Give them a discount if a new family joins because of their referral.
~Put this in your monthly newsletter. |

~Talk to the editor of your local newspaper and invite he or she to join
you on a field trip.

~Take daycare information to area hospital/birthing centers, to be
distributed to new parents.

~If your town has a local parade see about getting in. Have all
the kids in you care and parents march with. Have everyone wear
t-shirts with your daycare name and number on them. Pass out
treats, brochures, business cards, and other paraphernalia with your
daycare name on them! |
August
~Offer to do a display on child care at your library. Be sure to
add display created by and your name, daycare name, and number.
~Visit local colleges, schools, or technical
schools, and offer to speak about your experiences in the child care
profession.

~Deliver a "goodie" basket to local elementary school
secretaries. They can help sell your child care business.
~Drop of fliers, brochures, and business cards at
your schools ECFE office.

~Visit local health clubs and deliver brochures, business cards, and
hang fliers.

~Do a field trip to an area business and take lots of pictures.
Make up a Thank You poster with the pictures and of course your child
care name and number on it. Deliver it and offer to hang it in
their lobby. |

~Provide child care for holiday shoppers, place fliers in local retail
store windows.
