My Teaching Journey

I began this website over 20 years ago when I first started my licensed in home family childcare business. My children were little then and wow that time went by quickly.... Over the years I have worked in a variety of early learning programs both private and public. I taught preschool in a public school district for 11 years and then moved on to coordinating the early learning programs for the same district for a number of years. I have since left the school district and I am currently working for my state's Department of Education in the Early Learning Services Division. Working at the state level in education has been a dream of mine and I feel so blessed to be able to continue to contribute to the field of early childhood education.
  
I truly believe that early childhood is of HUGE importance in human development and it is a time to be cherished! I want every child to have rich, meaningful, experiences that will help them develop to their fullest potential, which is why I continue to add content and products to this site. I also have expanded my resources to Teachers Pay Teachers to help fund this website so I can continue to offer free resources.

I miss the kids and I envy everyone who is doing the hard, hard, work of teaching young children. You are the true heroes in our world! So thank you for all you do and I hope you will find some things here that will be helpful to you!
I know that together we can make a difference in the lives of young children.
