I have recently completed a new resource for assessing basic skill understanding with preschool aged children. I am really excited to be able to offer this new resource in y Teachers Pay Teachers store. I love how easy it is to use and how fun and meaningful it can be for the kids. It's a great quick way to find out where they are at in their development and understanding.
I would love to get your feedback on this product! If you would be interested in trying it out for FREE please leave a comment and I will email you a FREE copy of this resource! I will reserve 5 free copies for the first 5 people to respond. You can visit my Teacher Pay Teachers Store to learn more about this product or to see other products I have available for FREE and for purchase.
I am continuing to prepare for the first few weeks of school. That always means teaching good hand washing procedures. We teach it and reteach it and teach it again!
I always read the book Those Mean Nasty Downright Disgusting But Invisible Germs by Judith Rice! It is the BEST book for teaching about hand washing. It become a classroom favorite immediately! We follow up the story by teaching the kids the Hand Washing Poem and with a "hands on" activity page. The activity page has the hand washing steps listed on it so children can talk about the steps at home. I have the children trace their hands and draw "germs" on their hands. Then I invite them to glue the "Throw-up" germ on their hand! Be prepared to hear LOTS of sickness stories! Young children love to share about the time when they "puked!" Download the Hand Washing Curriculum Zip file! You can find more printable resources like these in the Classroom Management section of the website! Until next time!
