I have recently completed a new resource for assessing basic skill understanding with preschool aged children. I am really excited to be able to offer this new resource in y Teachers Pay Teachers store. I love how easy it is to use and how fun and meaningful it can be for the kids. It's a great quick way to find out where they are at in their development and understanding.
I would love to get your feedback on this product! If you would be interested in trying it out for FREE please leave a comment and I will email you a FREE copy of this resource! I will reserve 5 free copies for the first 5 people to respond.
You can visit my Teacher Pay Teachers Store to learn more about this product or to see other products I have available for FREE and for purchase.
I am continuing to prepare for the first few weeks of school. That always means teaching good hand washing procedures. We teach it and reteach it and teach it again!
I always read the book Those Mean Nasty Downright Disgusting But Invisible Germs by Judith Rice! It is the BEST book for teaching about hand washing. It become a classroom favorite immediately!
We follow up the story by teaching the kids the Hand Washing Poem and with a "hands on" activity page. The activity page has the hand washing steps listed on it so children can talk about the steps at home. I have the children trace their hands and draw "germs" on their hands. Then I invite them to glue the "Throw-up" germ on their hand! Be prepared to hear LOTS of sickness stories! Young children love to share about the time when they "puked!"
Download the Hand Washing Curriculum Zip file!
